Some of the biggest names in Christian music joined forces for a new tune about the birth of Jesus Christ from the new  film “Journey to Bethlehem.”

Christmas is the best time of the entire year. Despite the bone-chilling wind chills and frigid temperatures that so often accompany that time of year, it’s a season to celebrate. It’s a time intended to be spent with friends, family and those closest to us remembering the birth of the one who changed the world forever: Jesus Christ. 

Steven Curtis Chapman and the guys from We The Kingdom in their song “Brand New Life,” sing about this joyous occasion. The Savior of the World lowered and humbled Himself as He was born in a lowly stable and placed in a manger surrounded by farm animals. 

The song’s first verse mentions spotting a star in the sky, witnessing the night sky shining with a brightness never thought possible and hearing a choir of angels singing. Christ, the newborn king, has finally arrived. It is indeed a time of celebration.

The chorus encourages all to come together and celebrate this most joyous event of the Savior coming to Earth.

“It’s a brand new life a gift from Heaven
Showing hope will rise and all’s forgiven
If you believe then join with me and celebrate
Celebrate this brand new life”

“Brand New Life” is a beautiful song that likely perfectly captures the joy and utter happiness that the wise men, shepherds and everyone else who was anxiously awaiting Christ’s arrival felt that night. They were all celebrating the brand new life that had come to save mankind from their sin and shame. 

“Brand New Life” is a catchy, upbeat and truth-filled song about the birth of the Savior that deserves more than a few listens. It’s also a track almost guaranteed to get stuck in your head, leaving you humming it for several hours after that final listen.

A group of talented youngsters turned in a moving and emotional performance, singing a song about thanking the good Lord for His countless blessings.

Most people are blessed beyond measure and do not have any room to complain. God consistently meets and fulfills our basic needs. In fact, He usually goes above and beyond those needs, even delivering a fair amount of those wants and desires on top of those needs. He is a good, faithful and loving Lord.

Thanksgiving is a terrific opportunity to stop and praise the Lord for all He has done, is doing and will do in our lives. Yes, the path forward and destination ahead can appear murky and unclear at times. However, God is always there, delivering blessings and meeting our needs.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a children’s choir sang a song of praise and worship, “Thankful.” The song’s beautiful lyrics help put life into perspective, forcing listeners to stop and consider how much the Lord has blessed and touched their lives.

“For every good thing that I have comes from God
Every day, every hour
There are blessings He sends without number or end
If I counted a hundred or a thousand, I’m sure
There would still be more”

In life, it’s easy to complain about what we’re lacking. Most people concentrate on what they do not have instead of what they have been blessed with and graciously given. This is something that everyone walking on the face of the earth is guilty of doing.

However, no one particularly likes someone constantly asking for this or that. Everyone would do well to adopt an attitude of gratefulness, especially toward God and all He has done and continues to do. 

Even during life’s many trials and hardships, God is still loving and faithful and works to provide for and meet our needs. He pours out His blessings on those who love and follow Him.

Isaiah 44:3 “For I will send water on the land needing it, and streams on the dry earth: I will let my spirit come down on your seed, and my blessing on your offspring.”

I wrote this song after reading Psalm 19. I realized how much we take life for granted by what God has created for us to enjoy. His creation and beauty surrounds from above and on earth. I hope this song blesses you!

I wrote this song back in 1981, or so when I was in prison for 30 years over 20 years ago home now free, and loving Jesus. When I first come home I began growing my first tomatoes for the Spring season in my house. It was a project I've always wanted to do. In Maine the summers are short but the soil is beautiful. I give all the glory for the many years God has restored back to me that the locust stole from me as an addict, and criminal most of my young years but when He touched me I was no longer the same...Amen!
