Pass Me Not

I became aware of this hymn as a prison volunteer. The men loved to sing this hymn. Nothing against the hymn as originally written but I could not resist interpreting the lyrics in a blues format to take it out of church and take it to the streets.

Anthony Evans’ Soul-Stirring Covers of ‘Firm Foundation’ and ‘Gratitude’

Anthony Evans has delivered soul-stirring covers of “Firm Foundation” and “Gratitude.” The immensely gifted singer put his talent on full display with these awe-inspiring and moving renditions of songs that are near and dear to the hearts of many. Watch the video to see and hear Anthony’s dazzling vocal performances.

This world is lost and broken beyond repair. Sin utterly and completely wrecks and destroys everything it touches, as evidenced by what is seen daily on every television news broadcast. Lives, relationships and careers have been destroyed by sin.

Sadly, because we live in a sin-filled world, Christians are not safe from experiencing soul-crushing, devastating circumstances. But even when everything around us appears to be falling apart, we can have peace. We can, believe it or not, have joy amid all the chaos. How is that possible? Like every one of life’s questions and problems, the answer is Jesus Christ.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Anthony beautifully performs two songs loved by many: “Firm Foundation” and “Gratitude.” The performances from Anthony and the musicians who joined him are superb, a true feast for the ears. This performance deserves to be listened to repeatedly. The amount of talent present in this seven-minute video is astounding.

The lyrics in both of these popular songs are accurate and moving. They inform listeners that even when things around us appear bleak and hopeless, we can still have joy, happiness and peace. Christ is faithful and loving and remains in control even during chaos and confusion. He has never let us down; there’s no reason to believe he will now.

“I’ve still got joy in chaos
I’ve got peace that makes no sense
And I won’t be going under
I’m not held by my own strength”

Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”

Worship Team's Beautiful 'Goodness of God' Cover

One praise and worship team turned in a beautiful “Goodness of God” cover. Their stunning rendition of the popular contemporary Christian music song deserves repeated listens. Watch the short clip to see and hear the awe-inspiring performance of the song that is near and dear to the hearts of many.

Without God and His Son, Jesus Christ, none of us would have a chance. We’d all be facing an eternity lost and forever separated from Him. Of course, that’s what every one of us deserves, for we are all sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God.

However, because of God’s love, mercy, grace and goodness, He changed everything for humanity. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take our place. Christ willingly went to the cross where He suffered and died, spilling His blood that offers forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the praise and worship team from First Baptist Clarksville in Clarksville, Tennessee, performs “Goodness of God.” Most people are likely very familiar with this song, but that does not diminish the beauty and truth imparted by the tune’s lyrics. Only because of God's goodness, mercy and grace are we forgiven and can look forward to spending eternity in heaven with Him.

“‘Cause all my life You have been faithful
And all my life you have so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God”

He has forgiven us of our sins and continues to pour out His blessings on our lives. Additionally, how many times have we found ourselves in a predicament of our own making, and God offered a way out, a solution when none seemed possible? He is not only exceedingly good to us, but He is abundantly faithful.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Anne Wilson Talks Sharing Her Faith at Secular Country Concerts

Christian country artist Anne Wilson talks with us about sharing her Christian message to new audiences while opening for some of today’s biggest secular artists. Anne shares how her faith shapes her music and how she stays true to her calling, even in mainstream spaces.

The world is lost and broken, with many people hurting and struggling. They are looking for answers, something to stop the hurt and sorrow. Individuals will look here and there, possibly finding a temporary solution that will numb the pain for a time. However, soon enough, the pain and hurt returns.

People in this world need Christ and His healing, life-changing touch. Christians are called to be fishers of men, to witness and tell others about Christ and the Gospel. Anne, a Christian country music artist, has had the opportunity to tell others about Jesus Christ.

But telling others about Jesus Christ is often much easier said than done. Anne mentions how she has experienced reservations and fears about talking to some crowds about Jesus.

“I had a show opening for Morgan Wallen and Koe Wetzel,” she said. “I don’t know if you know anything about Koe Wetzel, but we are night and day different, and I was so nervous. I was like shaking all over, and I remember being like, ‘How am I going to get up and talk about Jesus? Like, I do not feel like I can do this.’”

Later in the clip, Anne explains how she overcame her fear and trepidation. She says she thought about the disciples and how many of them experienced painful, agonizing deaths for sharing the Gospel.

She added that sharing the Gospel and telling others about Jesus Christ, even when we feel apprehensive and uneasy about it, is precisely what it means to be a Christian.

What wise and moving words from an incredibly talented and gifted young woman.

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Act of Congress’ Stunning Acoustic ‘I’ll Fly Away’ Performance

Genre-bending acoustic quartet Act of Congress stopped by the Godtube Music Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, and performed their version of the classic hymn 'I'll Fly Away.' The track can be found on their 2024 album, “The Hymns That Made Us.”

Many churches seem to be moving away from hymns. Instead of hymns, many houses of worship are opting to use contemporary Christian music to fill the praise and worship portion of their Sunday morning service. This seems to be an ever-growing trend.

This may be a controversial opinion, especially given the popularity of contemporary Christian music, but I much prefer the old hymns. Yes, there are some fantastic modern praise and worship songs. But there is simply no comparison when it comes to hymns like “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.”

Another classic hymn that is nearly impossible to top when compared to any contemporary Christian music tune is “I’ll Fly Away.” Of course, it’s a song that most people know well, but classics are called classics for a reason. The group Act of Congress does the song more than justice, playing a beautiful and memorable version of the beloved tune.

“I’ll Fly Away” is a song about death, but instead of fearing or dreading it, it’s about what awaits followers of Christ on the other side. While well-known to anyone familiar with the song, the lyrics remain as relevant and powerful as ever.

“Some glad morning when this life is over
I’ll fly away
To a home on God’s celestial shore
I’ll fly away”

Much like the lyrics to the classic hymn, this performance is one to remember and noteworthy. All four performers are obviously tremendously talented, which comes across with their most enjoyable rendition of “I’ll Fly Away.”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Listen To The Birdies

Listen To The Birdies - Matthew 6:25-26 – April 6, 1980 What are you worrying about? Oh, come on. Be honest. We often get caught up in the worries of this world. We worry about our money, relationships, health, careers, possessions, community and so much more. These worries can steal our joy and causes stress and anxiety that we do not need to bear. In Matthew 6:25–26 Jesus teaches 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? We can learn a valuable lesson if we will just Listen To The Birdies.

Passion Powerful ‘He Who is to Come' Live Performance

Passion delivered a powerful live performance of “He Who is to Come.” The group’s moving and emotional rendition of this beautiful song is worthy of repeated listens. Watch this short but powerful clip as the musicians sing about Jesus Christ.

Anyone who puts any amount of faith and trust in the things of this world is nothing but a fool. Things are temporary and do not last; they deteriorate and waste away. Sadly, people will let us down and hurt us. Even those closest to us, whom we should be able to trust fully, will fail. They may not do it intentionally or with malice or evil intent, but people are imperfect, and we all have flaws and failures.

That’s why placing your trust in anyone or anything other than Jesus Christ is a fool’s errand and a recipe for disaster. Christ, even while we were still sinners, gave Himself up for us. He willingly went to the cross, suffered and died because He thought you and I were worth it. Do you know of anyone else who has done anything like that for you? Neither do I.

In a live performance in front of hundreds, Passion plays and sings “He Who is to Come,” a beautiful praise and worship song about Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, His resurrection and His impending return. As the song eloquently articulates, Christ is the only one worthy of such glory, honor and praise.

“My future has an anchor
My eyes are on the Savior
Oh, He’s coming back again (yeah, He’s coming back)
He’s coming back again”

Because of Christ’s ultimate and loving sacrifice and resurrection, any of us can be forgiven of our sins and have the opportunity at salvation. We have a future because of Jesus Christ. He has won the victory over sin, death and the grave. That is a victory that we can share in, too. He freely offers His forgiveness and love to anyone who earnestly seeks Him and calls upon His name.

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

TobyMac Brings Energy and Faith in Electrifying ‘Can’t Stop Me’ Music Video

Check out TobyMac’s music video of his energetic and electrifying song ‘Can’t Stop Me.’ The song is featured on TobyMac’s 9th album titled Heaven On My Mind. The powerful lyrics that talk about the refusal to lose hope in ‘Can’t Stop Me’ match the intense feeling of the song’s music video.

‘This road is dark, I see a spark
I see some lights out in the distance
Can they hear my heartbeat? Can they see my weakness?
Do they know my hurt? An easy target am I, the prey for the circlin' birds’

This song on the album Heaven On My Mind is part of 12 songs that continue to dive into the depths of TobyMac’s heart of trying to remain true to his beliefs while engaging with a world that can be full of heartbreak and wonder. According to TobyMac, ‘Can’t Stop Me’ was “written from the valley of the shadow of death…about the opposition we encounter and the power of belief.”

The album Heaven On My Mind was released nearly three years after TobyMac’s album Life After Death. And TobyMac shares his thoughts on where his mind and heart are in this season of life.

“My last record was just facing things no one should have to face… the deepest, heart-crushing you could ever have in losing my first-born son, but I felt like this record was me gaining my footing a bit. Realizing, ‘Okay, I can breathe, and I can get my fist up in the air about things I believe in,’” TobyMac says.

The music from TobyMac shows that these personal feelings are universal. “I call it the good, the bad, the ugly of my life. Those just end up on the pages of my lyric notebook,” he says. “We’re all facing some relationships going great, and some relationships that are struggling, and there are deep valleys. If I write from my life and I’m experiencing all those things, I find that people relate to it. It resonates with people because we’re not that different from each other.”

We hope that the message from TobyMac’s ‘Can’t Stop Me’ left you encouraged today.

Crowder’s Powerful Live ‘I Saw The Light’ and ‘I’ll Fly Away’ Performance

Don’t miss Crowder’s performance live of ‘I Saw The Light’ and ‘I’ll Fly Away Performance.’ There’s something about the way David Crowder takes the stage—it’s less of a performance and more of an experience, a wide-open invitation to step right into the joy-drenched presence of God.

You can feel the Holy Spirit move through every beat, every strum, every raw, soaring note.

The lights flash bright, and the crowd leans in—because they know what’s coming. The foot-stomping, hands-raising, full-throttle kind of worship that makes you forget the weight of the world for a while! The kind that reminds you of Sunday mornings on the church pew and the echo of your grandma’s voice singing over the kitchen sink.

And when Crowder lets loose, blending that deep Southern gospel soul with his signature folk-rock sound? You can’t help but move. You can’t help but sing. Because this—this is what worship is meant to be.

Crowder co-founded the band while he was still a student in 1995 after he realized half of the students weren’t attending church. To change the worship experiences, he began writing music that connected with his fellow students. The band caught fire in the Christian realm and rose through the ranks of music, with their albums becoming number one on the Billboard Christian chart. Crowder doesn’t just sing these songs—he feels them. He plays them with the kind of reckless abandon that reminds you why music is a gift, why worship is powerful, and why joy is our birthright as children of God.

Maybe that’s why Crowder’s performances hit differently. They aren’t just set in a concert; they’re altar calls. They’re spaces where you can bring your burdens, your doubts, your heartache—and lay it all down. And in return, you get swept up in something bigger than yourself.

So, if you’ve never seen this live performance before, now’s your chance. Crank the volume. Let the music flood your soul. Raise your hands, tap your foot, shout an Amen! or two.

Because this isn’t just a concert, it’s a taste of heaven breaking through.

And isn’t that exactly what we need?

Psalm 98:4 "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music."

Micah Tyler Declares God’s Power in ‘God Did It’ Official Music Video

There are moments when we come face to face with the truth of God’s power and provision, and we realize we cannot deny it any longer. That’s what you’ll find in Micah Tyler’s upbeat song as he declares God’s power in his new ‘God Did It’ official music video.

The first time I heard ‘God Did It’ by Micah Tyler, something inside me stilled. It was like a gentle but firm reminder, a whisper straight from heaven: You didn’t do this. You couldn’t have. I did.

‘You know I really tried so hard

But I couldn't make the waters part

Didn't matter how many times that I had said it

You know I couldn't save myself’

How many times have we tried? Tried to make the waters part, tried to fix the mess, tried to force a breakthrough? We push, we strive, we say all the right words, but nothing moves. And then, in the quiet, in the exhaustion, we realize—it was never ours to do in the first place.

‘Who put the breath in my lungs

Who calls us daughters and sons

All praise goes to just one

God did it,God did it’

That’s the heart of this song. A recognition that there’s only One who gets the credit. There are a million ways to look at our lives and see His fingerprints. A million moments where we know—without a doubt—it was Him. The rescue. The provision. The second chances. The healing.

God did it.

Not because we deserved it. Not because we finally figured things out. But because that’s who He is. The One who makes a way. The One who lifts us out of the grave. The One who rewrites our stories with kindness and calls it redemption.

So today, let’s live in that truth. Let’s stop taking credit for what only He could do. Let’s stop trying to earn what has already been given. Instead, let’s stand in awe, hands open, hearts full, and say it for the world to hear—God did it. And He’ll keep doing it. Again and again.

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
