Dr. Jerod Gilcher
After serving for eight years as the College and Equipping Pastor at Faith Bible Church in Spokane, Washington, Dr. Jerod Gilcher joined Christ Community Bible Church in January 2019.
His ministry passions include the expository preaching of God’s Word, equipping believers for the work of ministry, training the next generation of pastors and elders, and teaching theology and biblical languages within the local church.
Dr. Gilcher holds a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Japanese from Eastern Washington University, a Master of Divinity from The Master’s Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Old Testament from Gateway Seminary.
He and his wife, Sarah, have been married for 20 years and have three daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, learning languages, sharing the gospel with Muslims, reading theology, traveling, following the Boston Red Sox, In-N-Out burgers, and lattes.
His life purpose statement is: “I exist for the imperial majesty of Jesus Christ and for the glory of His invincible, sovereign empire.”
