Gene Moore - Beautiful

Listen to “Beautiful” by Gene Moore.

Real, true and honest love is powerful. Love drives people to act selflessly for those whom they cherish and adore. Love will move people to do things they once thought impossible. Love, as they say, can change the world.

The Word of God places a big emphasis on love. In John 15:12, Jesus issued an order concerning the topic of love. Jesus said, “This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you.”

The new song, “Beautiful,” by Gene Moore features India.Arie and is all about love and the importance of love. “Beautiful” has a soothing and pleasing R&B sound and feel to it.

Now, there are several different forms of love. There is a romantic love between a husband and a wife. Also, there is brotherly love like the feelings between close friends and the kind of love a parent has for a child.

However, the lyrics to “Beautiful” points to more of a romantic love, similar to that between a husband and a wife.

The song’s second verse mentions several reasons why the songwriter loves this other person, including that their love comes from Heaven and does not compare to any other kind of love they’ve felt before.

The song’s chorus indicates what has happened since this person entered their life.

“Every day with you is so beautiful, what you do to me is unusual
Better than any, better than any, better than anything I’ve ever had
Every day with you is so beautiful, what you do to me is unusual”

“Beautiful” is a charming and lovely sung song with an infectious melody and lyrics that are sure to get stuck in your head. Be sure to give “Beautiful” a listen!

1 Corinthians 13:13 “But now we still have faith, hope, love, these three: and the greatest of these is love.”

‘So Long Dixie’ by Home Free

Growing and changing, in general, can be a difficult and painful process. Whether we like it or not, we are constantly changing and always growing. We may grow in stature, knowledge, wisdom or age. One new song perfectly captures this idea of a season of growth and change.

“So Long Dixie” by the group Home Free talks about this time of growth and clearly articulates how tough change can be in life.

The song's video opens with a couple of shots of gorgeous landscapes and scenery. The picturesque settings act almost as a central figure in the YouTube video. The awe-inspiring backgrounds are featured prominently in nearly every shot of the video.

Seconds after the beautiful establishing shots, we next see a singer and a guitarist standing along a dirt road in the middle of a rolling field with breathtaking rock formations in the background.

The song’s lyrics begin right away with this idea of change. They mention that despite all the knowledge and life experiences obtained from a place, it is just time to move on.

“So Long Dixie, it’s time to let you go
It’s awful hard to do with roots this strong
You’re just on the wrong end of a one-way road”

The musicians add that despite the inevitable change, they are not ashamed of where they grew up. Their place of birth taught them and helped make them who they are today.

As the song’s lyrics state, their place of birth taught them how to pray, work, play and defend themselves.

People on YouTube commenting on the video stated how much they love and appreciate the song.

“I love their covers, but man, their originals like this one really allows us to get to know the guys better. It also shows how immensely talented they are,” one person wrote

Hebrews 6:1 “For this reason let us go on from the first things about Christ to full growth; not building again that on which it is based, that is, the turning of the heart from dead works, and faith in God,”

“For God So Loved the World” - Taryn Harbridge

Take 4 minutes and simply breathe in this stunning video entitled “For God So Loved the World,” by Taryn Harbridge. It will be time well spent!

Taryn Harbridge is a Christian musician and video creator, having taught herself to arrange, perform, film, and edit, along with all the other steps involved in bringing her affirming videos to viewers. Her primary instrument is the violin, but her primary purpose is to glorify God through her work and ministry. If you haven’t heard of Taryn, learn a little bit more about this God-driven artist on her website

For now, just watch as Taryn explains the truth of the gospel with carefully selected scripture.

The video is set in a serene forest. Snow gently falls, but there is already a light, white covering on the earth and trees. Everything is still. Verses from the book of Luke appear, telling the story of shepherds frightened by an angel. They learn that the angel brings news of great joy; a Savior has been born. Taryn, dressed in white warmth, appears in the frame looking upward as that message rests for a few moments.

We are shown a gently-flowing river within the forest, and passages from Isaiah point to the prophecy of the birth of Jesus and that He will be called “Prince of Peace.” Taryn spins around in delight. This is the physical reflection of the inexplicable happiness that He brought to His people.

At 2:00 minutes, there is a shift. The song changes, and an instrumental version of “Jesus Loves Me” begins. Scriptures from John remind us that God sent His Son to die so that we might be saved. Taryn stands on a high rock in the river bed and reaches upward, as if asking to receive His light and love. And, the final verse affirms that this is exactly what we must do to become children of God.

Taryn has created a stunning video, with splendid images and lovely music, that tells the truth of God’s word in four short minutes. However, unlike those with quick glimpses and flashing images, her video forces us to pause and reflect on each frame.

Slowing down and being, listening, absorbing, and soaking in is hard! However, whether the season is winter or warm, taking time to do so while in worship or in prayer is important to do!

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—” John 1:12

God Is Just a Prayer Away - Pete Miller

‘Let Them Be Little’ by Caleb and Kelsey

Children are precious and are to be treasured. Psalm 127:3 reads, “See, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” One song makes it abundantly clear just how much of a gift children are and how quickly they grow up.

“Let Them Be Little,” sung by husband-and-wife Christian musicians Caleb and Kelsey Grimm, is a cover originally performed by Billy Dean and later by Lonestar.

The video begins with the two singers sitting on stools in a location that all parents are well familiar with: a nursery.

The first verse mentions how quickly children grow up. As the song’s lyrics state, a child changes and grows up with every passing second. Blink and you may not recognize your child, the song indicates.

The chorus really helps to drive the song’s message home. Children can be tiring, in constant need of attention and wear parents out to the point of exhaustion but mom and dad shouldn’t react with anger. Instead, the chorus adds that parents should cherish these times. Those moments are limited and fleeting.

“So let them be little, cause they’re only that way for a while
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let ‘em cry, let ‘em giggle, let them sleep in the middle”

The song’s second verse points out that, despite their young age and limited experiences, children can teach their parents a thing or two about life and love.

“Let Them Be Little” is a simple and beautiful song with a touching message. It’s sure to make parents with grown children think back and long for those times when their children were little and shed a tear or two or three!

Matthew 18:10 “Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones; for I say to you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”

‘Where No One Stands Alone’ Lisa Marie Presley Duet with Elvis

More than 40 years after his death, Elvis Presley remains one of the biggest names and most recognizable figures in all of entertainment. Sadly, it was recently announced that his only child, daughter Lisa Marie, had also sadly passed away.

On “Where No One Stands Alone” Lisa Marie steps up to the mic and joins her famous dad on the tune about loneliness, as the video to the song shows

In the first verse, Elvis sings about his fear of being alone. He even sings out to the Lord, asking him to not “hide your face from me.”

Images and footage of Elvis and Lisa Marie as a child rolls throughout the video. We are treated to footage of a happy and loving family playing outside, riding in a car and even visiting Santa Claus together.

Then, Lisa Marie joins in with her father and helps sing the chorus. The chorus is a plea for someone to grab their hand and not leave them alone.

“Hold my hand all the way, every hour, every day
Come here to the great unknown
Take my hand, let me stand”

During the father-daughter duet on the chorus, both are featured on the screen together. On half of the screen, Elvis, from one of his many performances, is seen singing. The other portion of the screen is devoted to his daughter Lisa Marie. Lisa Marie stands next to a microphone, wearing headphones.

Lisa Marie, who was Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s only child, died in Los Angeles, California.  According to The New York Times, she died after a “medical emergency and a brief hospitalization.” At this time, it remains unclear what led to the death of Elvis and Priscilla’s only child.

She was 54 years old at the time of her passing.

Check out the video showing Elvis and his daughter Lisa Marie singing together.
