'Mine' We The Kingdom Live Performance

Check out this amazing live performance by We The Kingdom of their new song ‘Mine.’

“Wanted something to call my own, I was tired of being alone, went looking for beautiful
And You’re beautiful, so beautiful, settled down in a house of sand
Storm came and it could not stand, felt like Jesus took my hand, it was beautiful
I’m yours and you’re mine till the end of time, sweeter than water, sweeter than wine
Feels so good to know that you are mine”

What an incredible song full of so much energy and power! The song ‘Mine’ was written by Andrew Bergthold, Ed Cash, Scott Cash, Franni Cash, and Martin Cash. And some of the scripture references in the lyrics include John 17:10 and Song of Songs 2:16.

We The Kingdom recently released their self-titled sophomore album, and ‘Mine’ is one of the songs on the 13-track project. The songs are a great blend of rock, country, and Gospel. And they also draw inspiration from decades-worth of musical influences in a way only a multi-generational family band can.

The band consists of multiple generations of relatives: Andrew Bergthold, Ed Cash, Franni Rae Cash, Martin Cash, and Scott Cash. And the band's name comes after the idea that "the kingdom of God is here among us".

“Thank you so much for this amazing reminder!” one person writes on YouTube after watching the music video. “It makes me so full of joy that I cry. So beautiful!”

“Another awesome song from WTK! This album is amazing,” comments another person online.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘Mine’ by We The Kingdom today! May the song bring you joy and uplift your spirit.

John 17:10
All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.

2 Country Singers Perform Epic Rendition Of “Nessun Dorma” Opera Classic

Take a look at this surprising 2.5-minute video and watch two country music singers perform an epic rendition of “Nessun Dorma,” an opera classic. This contradictory clip is a delight!

As the video begins, Austin Brown and Rob Lundquist enter a building and walk directly toward the front. Given the white walls, rows of cushioned chairs positioned snuggly together, and the stained glass, it appears to be a church sanctuary, and they seem to be approaching the altar.

Austin removes his cowboy hat and Rob his cap, and they briefly hold them to their chests. Perhaps in tribute or to make an offering to the musical greats of another genre?

They discard their headwear, and, in an instant, the two have changed out of t-shirts and jeans and into black suits and ties. They’ve lost their country duds and are outfitted for a classical music performance!

The selection is “Nessun Dorma.” The song is an aria. In other words, “Nessun Dorma” is a solo vocal piece found in an opera. Only here, there are two singing it. The words “nessun dorma” are translated in English to “let no one sleep.”

Note one is expressed at 16 seconds, and there is no false start or easing into this strange, unfamiliar musical territory for the two members of a cappella group Home Free. Rob begins the first solo at 29 seconds, looking a smidge like a young Pavarotti, and high tenor Austin begins his first at 58 seconds.

Each takes another turn before coming together to finish the song. Even those without an affection for opera will appreciate the magnificence of the piece and the range that the two artists obviously possess!

Home Free was founded in 2001 in the heart of the U.S.A. in Mankato, Minnesota. Here, two of the five current members are singing a song from Turandot, an opera about a Chinese princess, completed by Italian composer Franco Alfano in 1926, and based on one of seven stories written by a Persian poet in the 12th century. Go figure!

The story behind the opera and the song is one of death, power, hatred, and love. In a nutshell, Princess Turandot does not want to marry Calaf, but she will have to if she can’t figure out his name. Yes, it’s odd that she doesn’t already know it. Turandot tells her subjects that none are to sleep until they’ve come up with the name. If they fall asleep before the task is done, they will be killed. Heavy stuff!

“Nessun Dorma” is quite different from Home Free’s usual, lighter fare—songs like “When Will I Be Loved” and “Man of Constant Sorrow.” But, whether Austin and Rob are singing a cappella, country, or opera, they do it well!

And, just like you can’t judge a book by its cover, you can’t judge a crooner by his clothes!

“Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.” Leviticus 19:15

'Tho' Autumn's Coming On' Live Worship From Bill Gaither

Listen to this beautiful performance of the song 'Tho' Autumn's Coming On' from Bill Gaither.

“Through changing seasons, we've shared life's little days, still in love
Tho' autumn's coming on, it seems unreal, our souvenirs still look so new
We reminisce and must confess that this is true, we sang lullabies to babies cries
In the springtime, oh, how the time seemed to fly, we had scarcely put the crib away
When, like magic, we looked up the aisle, and beheld a lovely bride”

What a wonderful and heartwarming song about the love story of Bill and Gloria Gaither. The lyrics tell of their life and how they have seen the years pass by together while still very much in love.

Bill is singing 'Tho' Autumn's Coming On' at the piano with his wife by his side. The two look lovingly at each other while pictures of their life pass by on the screen. The pictures show their wedding day, the years when they were raising their babies, and then moments with their grown children and grandchildren.

As Bill is performing this song live at the Gaither Studios in Alexandria, IN, a handful of people are surrounding the couple at the piano and looking fondly at them and their legacy. Many even have tears in their eyes.

Many people online also shared how touching it was to watch the video of this performance.

“Oh so beautiful, this is a union that was meant to be,” writes one person online. “They were meant for each other. The Lord is with them and I pray that his ministry along with all the Gaither friends and singers continue to bless our hearts. God bless Bill and Gloria, you both have done a good job.”

“Beautiful Bill, it brought tears to my eyes,” comments another person on YouTube. “May God continue to bless you both. Thank you for sharing.”
