Karissa Ella Sings 'He Walked On Water' As Randy Travis Looks On

Old meets new as rising country star Karissa Ella performs the Randy Travis classic, ‘He Walked On Water.’

This 1990 hit went all the way to number 2 on the country charts for the beloved singer-songwriter.

The song tells the story of a young child and their love and admiration for their great-grandfather.

“He wore starched white shirts buttoned at the neck
And he'd sit in the shade and watch the chickens peck
And his teeth were gone, but what the heck
I thought that he walked on water”

Randy Travis first broke onto the music scene in the 1980s.

His deep and distinctive voice gave us hits such as ‘Deeper Than The Holler’ and ‘Three Wooden Crosses.’ But a devastating stroke in 2013 nearly took his life. He had to relearn everything including eating, talking and walking.

While Randy still hasn’t returned to singing, he has helped numerous artists on their musical journey.

Today, Randy is watching on as country newcomer Karissa Ella performs his single, ‘He Walked On Water.’

“But if the story was told, only heaven knows
But his hat seemed to me like an old halo
And though his wings, they were never seen
I thought that he walked on water”

So many people connect with this special song. One viewer wrote, “Randy is a living legend! She did an amazing job on this song. It's great to see so much love being spread.”

Another said, “God bless Randy. Great job, Karissa. This was a blessing.”

What an incredible moment to watch the next generation pay tribute to a country legend like Randy Travis!

Next Generation Leads Us In Worship With 'I Love To Tell The Story'

Check out this video to see some talented young people lead us in worship with the song ‘I Love To Tell The Story.'

“I love to tell the story of unseen things above, of Jesus and His glory,
Of Jesus and His love. I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do. I love to tell the story,
’Twill be my theme in glory, to tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.”

What a great performance! And the harmonizing that the singers do in the song is just wonderful!

“Fantastic song and extremely well played. God bless you guys,” comments one person online after watching the video.

“Spectacular! I love your singing and music,” writes another person on YouTube.

The song ‘I Love to Tell the Story’ is a well-known hymn which was written as a poem by an English evangelist, Katherine Hankey. While recovering from an illness at the age 30, Katherine wrote a poem on the life of Christ. This poem had two sections, the first published in January 1866 and entitled The Story Wanted, the second published later that year in November under the title The Story Told.

In 1869, the hymn ‘I Love To Tell The Story' was created from stanzas in the second section of Katherine’s poem. And it was set to music composed by William G. Fischer.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this rendition of ‘I Love To Tell The Story' today and the music was able to uplift and encourage you.

Hebrews 12:2
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Bluegrass Family Band Performs Live Rendition Of 'Amazing Grace'

Rejoice in the hope of the Lord as The Petersens perform a live rendition of ‘Amazing Grace.’

Authored by John Newton, this beloved hymn was written as a way of giving thanks to the Lord after God granted John new life. As a sailor, John was known for his crude language and actions.

But one day at sea, John found himself caught in the middle of a terrible storm. John spent hours at the helm of the ship battling the waves and his thoughts started to turn to God.

After surviving the weather, John started his life as a Christian and dedicated himself to serving the Lord. The beautiful words of ‘Amazing Grace’ were inspired by this incredible moment of self-revelation.

“Amazing Grace,
How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
T'was blind but now I see”

The Petersens are a family band from Branson, Missouri. The band consists of siblings, Katie, Ellen, Matt, and Julianne, mom Karen, and family friend Emmett Franz.

This bluegrass ensemble has traveled all around the world sharing their musical talents, but you can normally find them at home in Branson. For ten seasons, The Petersens have performed at the Little Opry Theatre in the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex.

Today, they are belting out the powerful words to ‘Amazing Grace’ and it’s one performance that you don’t want to miss.

“T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far
And Grace will lead us home”

Psalms 18:2 “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”

Chris LeDoux's Son Performs His Original Song “Forever A Cowboy”

Paying tribute to the cowboyin’ way of life, Chris LeDoux’s son performs his original song entitled “Forever a Cowboy.” For cowboys historically known to sit around a fire and tell stories, poetry and lyrics are important. Ned LeDoux, son of Chris LeDoux, gets that, and “Forever a Cowboy” demonstrates his understanding in four descriptive verses and one chorus.

Here is the first chorus of his 2016 song:

He works by the seasons, not a clock on the wall
Stacking hay in the summer, shipping calves in the fall
Rides proud for the brand; he ain't one to complain
Never has much to say, always thankful for the rain

Dressed in all denim, sitting in front of a red sports car and an American flag, the video reminds viewers a bit of The Dukes of Hazzard, but he’s singing about horses instead of cars and a landscape that is many miles west of where Bo and Luke hung out.

44-year-old Ned LeDoux began playing in his father’s band in 1998, but his solo career started much later in 2015. Growing up in Kaycee, Wyoming, with his parents and four siblings, Ned watched his father write songs and perform, and he decided he wanted to pursue a career in music as well. Ned’s enthusiasm for this particular type of country music wasn’t simply due to the fact that his dad sang it. His Dad lived it, too.

In addition to being a singer and songwriter, Chris was an award-winning, professional rodeo champion, a bronze sculptor, and a rancher. He lived the experiences that he and his son have written about. And that comes through in Ned’s song.

Ned sings with a sincerity and seriousness that surely reflects an admiration for past and present cowboys—nearly as deep as the dimple in his cheek. It’s a lifestyle that has been featured in more television shows and movies lately, even if with a lot of fiction thrown in.

Ned and his dad, Chris, are the real deal. Chris died in 2005 at the age of 56, but Ned continues to sing his brand of music. As much a tribute to cowboys and the work they do, Ned’s song may be a tribute to his own father and the legacy that he left.

“Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—” Ephesians 6:2

Blind Singer Performs Heart-Tugging Song 'Brighter Days'

Check out this new heart-tugging song called ‘Brighter Days’ by the blind singer known as Blessing Offor.

“I know there’s gonna be some brighter days, I swear that love will find you in your pain
I feel it in me like the beating of life in my veins, I know there’s gonna be some brighter days
I know there’s gonna be some brighter days, oh, ashes fall from burning dreams
Oh, never lived through times like these, oh, if you’re trying hard to breathe in the dark
In the dark, oh, if your screams don’t make a sound, oh, if your walls are crashing down
Oh, if your heart just cries too loud all the time, all time, whoa”

What a beautiful song about hope and optimism in the midst of difficult times. And Blessing’s wonderful voice and piano playing carry the song all the way through, leaving the listener wanting more of the heartfelt music.

“Absolutely my favorite song right now. Cannot stop listening to it. Just wow,” comments one person on YouTube. “Get ready world because this amazing, incredible musician is going to take the world by storm. Huge things God has in store for him! Thanking God for such a powerful song and artist with such a beautiful story.”

“Even though he may be blind, he sees brighter days. Such a blessing. Amazing and uplifting song!” writes another person online after watching the music video.

Blessing shares about his music and how he hopes the message of his song resonates with others. “I’ve really been looking forward to sharing my songs with everyone,” he says. “Every one of them feels like I’m sharing a part of myself for people to relate to. That’s what ‘Brighter Days’ is about—the idea that we all experience dark days, but it’s those days that make the brighter ones worth waiting for.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘Brighter Days’ today!

'King Of Kings' Newsboys Lyric Video With Bart Millard

Listen to this great rendition of ‘King Of Kings’ by Newsboys and featuring Bart Millard.

“In the darkness we were waiting, without hope without light
‘Till from heaven You came running, there was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets, to a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory, to a cradle in the dirt
Praise the Father, praise the Son, praise the Spirit three in one
God of glory, Majesty, praise forever to the King of Kings”

What a wonderful version of this song! Originally from Hillsong Worship, the Newsboys and Bart Millard put their own spin on ‘King Of Kings’ and they sound amazing together!

“Amen and hallelujah! Love this song and love the collaboration of two of my favorite artists!” comments one person on YouTube after watching the music video.

“Wow! What a beautiful song full of Holy Spirit power! Thank you, Newsboys,” writes another person online.

Brooke Ligertwood is part of Hillsong Worship, and she shared a bit about the song and what makes it so special.

“‘King of Kings’ is an attempt to summarize the story of the Gospel and the church. This song is firmly rooted in scripture and packed full of theology. Theology releases praise,” she says. “We hope and we pray that the song articulates the heart of the Gospel and the story of the church, starting with the birth of Jesus and through Pentecost essentially and then placing ourselves within that story, with the birth of the Church and our salvation stories.”

Brooke continues: “Hopefully, it becomes a song that we can sing every week, as a reminder of who we are in our origins and also our future. It's leaning towards liturgy in a way with a devotional angle where people can find themselves in the journey of the song and give praise to God. When we believe correctly about God, when we understand and get a greater revelation of who God is and what He's done, we can't help but respond in worship.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this version of ‘King Of Kings’ today!

'Heart Of God' Zach Williams Official Music Video

Remember that God is always by your side as you listen to the powerful words of ‘Heart Of God’ from Zach Williams.

“I know you're hurtin', I can see it in your eyes
So, pull back the curtain and take off your disguise
Whoever told you ain't worth the fight
The cross tells a story that'll change your mind”

Zach Williams rose to fame with his worship anthem, ‘Chainbreaker.’ After years as a heavy rocker and drug addiction, Zach found his way to God. From that moment on, he started to use his gift of music to give praise to the Lord’s Name.

Today, he’s praising the Lord with the official music video for ‘Heart Of God.’

“'Cause there's only love in the heart of God
No room for shame in His open arms
There's beauty from ashes, so come as you are
And there's only love in the heart of God”

These inspiring words are touching hearts all over. One person said, “Dang, that's beautiful. Love Zach's gravelly voice, one of the best male voices! Awesome message too! So many need to hear this truth!”

Another wrote, “Love this !!! Truly appreciate this brother in The Lord. He's a blessing and encouragement and I'm thankful to God for the work He continues to do in him and through him. Grace an[d] peace.”

These words are the perfect reminder that even when we may feel far from the Lord, He remains with us each step of the way.

Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, said the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

My First Song

Drew a tear from me...

Whey Jennings Sings “Hallelujah” In Honor Of Late Granddad Waylon Jennings

Take a listen as Whey Jennings sings “Hallelujah” in honor of his late granddad Waylon Jennings. It’s a beautiful rendering, completely different but equally as lovely as the widely-known arrangement performed by a cappella group Pentatonix!

Whey Jennings is the only son of Waylon Jennings’s eldest son, Terry Vance. That alone makes him pretty special! He’s a legacy! From Whey’s very start in country music, hijacking Grandma Jessi Colter’s microphone and running onto the stage to sing, he’s been innately and intimately connected to his grandfather and the art form!

Here, Whey sings “Hallelujah” in tribute to his grandfather, who would have turned 85 in June 2022. Waylon passed away in 2002 at the age of 64, having earned over a dozen awards in country music as a singer, songwriter, and musician who worked in radio and acted in both movies and television.

Whey begins by expressing his thanks to all who have helped organize and gathered for the full-day celebration in his grandfather’s memory at Rebel Ranch at Ashland City, Tennessee. His words are sincere and heartfelt, but the goosebumps are only starting!

The similarities between Whey and Grandpa Waylon are obvious—the timbre of his voice, the facial hair, and the dark brown eyes all remind us of his father’s father.

Whey takes his time with the ballad, allowing for the two guitarists to string stunning solos between verses. At 5:45, we see Whey “air chording and strumming” along with his free left and right hands.

The song is a mysterious one, but judging by the look in Whey’s soulful eyes and the solemn manner of the three performers, he has attributed significant meaning to it.

With references to Biblical figures King David, author of many of the Psalms, and Samson, “Hallelujah” was written by Leonard Cohen and released in 1984. While the song has been performed and recorded by many artists, the five-year process of writing it has been the subject of both a book and a documentary.

As the final verse begins and Whey sings “and, maybe there’s a God above,” he points and looks heavenward. He repeats the motion about 30 seconds later at 7:10 as he sings the word “hallelujah” one final time. We don’t know if Whey points to his grandfather in Heaven or his God in Heaven. Perhaps, both.

The camera pans downward, and we are reminded that Whey is the embodiment of country music—from his black cowboy hat all the way to his boots. Ultimately, superstars are real people with real families who love them deeply. Whey’s tribute surely does his grandfather proud, and it is a gift to those that get to observe!

“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.” Psalms 51:1

Angelic Young Voice Sings 'Bless The Lord (10,000 Reasons)'

Check out this great music video of a child with an angelic voice singing the song ‘Bless The Lord (10,000 Reasons)’ by Matt Redman.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name.
Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name.
The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning; it’s time to sing Your song again.
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes.”

In the music video, a young boy is singing the song and he does a wonderful job! His vocals are amazing and it is lovely to see him singing his heart out to the Lord.

“May the Lord continue to keep you and nourish the talent you have to serve Him more through singing,” comments one person online after watching the music video. “Many are blessed and rejuvenated by your songs!”

“It is wonderful to see a youngster full of the Lord's joy! This is a wonderful song too! Praise Him,” writes another person on YouTube.

When it comes to the song ‘Bless The Lord (10,000 Reasons),’ the inspiration for it came from the opening verse of Psalm 103: "Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name". The song was also based on the 19th century English hymn ‘Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven’ written by Henry Francis Lyte.

Matt Redman shared that the song came about from a suggestion from his co-writer Jonas Myrin. "He [Myrin] played me an idea for some of the chorus melody, and I found it immediately inspiring. In fact, it felt like a perfect fit for a song based on the opening of Psalm 103. The song came together really quickly – a good chunk of the song was actually a spontaneous moment,” he said.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this rendition of ‘Bless The Lord (10,000 Reasons)’ and it was able to remind you about the goodness and faithfulness of God.

'Someday It'll All Make Sense' Bill Anderson Featuring Dolly Parton

Check out the official music video of the song 'Someday It'll All Make Sense' by Bill Anderson and featuring Dolly Parton.

“I stared at the heavens, my heart full of anger, so mad, I was shakin' my fist
When out of the darkness, a voice soft and tender, said ‘Someday it'll all make sense’
Right now I've got questions without any answers, my faith out there riding the fence
But I've got to believe in what I can't see, someday it'll all make sense”

What a beautiful and hopeful song! ‘Someday It’ll All Make Sense,’ was written by Bill Anderson, Bobby Tomberlin, and Ryan Larkins. As for the wonderful music video, it was directed by Trey Fanjoy, who has worked with artists such as Taylor Swift, Steven Tyler, Paul McCartney, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, George Strait, and Loretta Lynn.

“Working with my ol’ buddy Bill Anderson was the most meaningful fun I’ve had in years,” Dolly Parton said in a statement while talking about the new song. “I love the song we sang, I love how we sounded together on it and getting to do a video with him was just icing on the cake. I hope the fans enjoy it as much as we enjoyed being together on it.”

Many people online shared their enthusiasm about seeing these two artists collaborating together.

“Wow! This couldn't have been done more beautifully. What a perfect pairing with Mr. Bill and Miss Dolly,” comments one person after watching the music video.

“What a beautiful song, and what an awesome performance by these two Country Music legends! I love Bill Anderson and Dolly Parton. They are both treasures,” writes another person online.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to 'Someday It'll All Make Sense' today and the lyrics and music were able to uplift and encourage you with their message of hope.

Classic Performance Of 'Wildwood Flower' From The Carter Family

Take a step back in time and check out this amazing song. In this video, we see a classic performance of “Wildwood Flower” from the Carter Family.

This video is straight out of the Grand Ole Opry. The Carter family is seen in this black and white clip on the center stage. Each one has an instrument and plays exceedingly well in harmony with one another.

One woman starts to sing in an alto voice as the other two women join in with beautiful harmonies. As the girls sing and the family plays, they have such a fun bond and clearly enjoy what they do. It takes a lot to work together as a family, let alone be in a band with your family.

Each band member has a unique role to play, and they all support one another throughout the performance. They allow the lead singer to front run the performance, but she does a wonderful job not overshining the rest of the family.

Country music tells a story. In this song, Wildwood Flower is about a girl who falls for a guy, but then he unexpectedly leaves. The ending lyrics say, “Oh, I long to see him and regret the dark hour. He's one that neglected this pale wildwood flower.”

Many times in life, we, too, feel rejected by others. We feel pushed aside and ignored. However, we can rest assured that Jesus never rejects us when we have accepted Him as Savior. We are His forever. He is faithful and never will leave our side.

If we have experienced or are currently living through rejection like Wildwood Flower, we can remember that our God never lets us down.

"Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

Stunning Performance Of 'Way Maker' In 3 Different Languages

Hear the inspiring words of ‘Way Maker’ like never before as this group of performers sings in 3 different languages.

This powerful song was originally recorded by Nigerian gospel singer, Sinach. Many other artists have covered the song, including contemporary Christian artist Michael W. Smith. His version of ‘Way Maker’ helped propel the song to the top of the charts and give it widespread recognition.

The touching words remind us all that there is hope in the name of the Lord.

“You are
Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper
Light in the darkness, my God
That is who You are”

Today, a talented group called One For Israel is performing this modern day classic in 3 different languages. Rebekah Wagner, Joshua Aaron, Nizar Francis and Shilo Ben Hod and more join their voices together to sing in Hebrew, Arabic and English.

Just listen as they come together to worship our Lord in such a beautiful way.

“You are here, touching every heart
I worship You, I worship You
You are here, healing every heart
I worship You, Jesus, I worship, you turning lives around”

This powerful song is touching hearts all over the world. One listener said, “You’re proving once again that music is the universal language.”

Another wrote, “Wow I felt the presence of God while listening to this.”

Acts 3:16 “And his name through faith in his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know: yes, the faith which is by him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”
