'Time Has Made A Change In Me' The Oak Ridge Boys

Cherish the time we have on Earth and look forward to the days ahead as The Oak Ridge Boys perform ‘Time Has Made A Change In Me.’

The group originally released this song in 1990 but the words still ring true today. As time goes by, we can appreciate all that God has done for us and also look forward to living out our eternal days in Heaven.

“Time has made a change since my childhood days;
Many of my friends have gone away,
Some I never more in this life will see
Time has made a change in me.”

The Oak Ridge Boys are known for their unique blend of country music and gospel. This iconic group consists of Duane Allen singing lead vocals, Joe Bonsall singing tenor, William Lee Golden with his baritone voice, and Richard Sterban singing deep bass. They all joined the group at different times, but this particular lineup of men have been together since 1973.

Today, they are at Gaither Studios for a live rendition of their classic song, ‘Time Has Made A Change In Me.’

Just listen as they belt out these powerful lyrics.

“Time has made a change in the old home place;
Time has made a change in each smiling face,
And I know my friends can plainly see
Time has made a change in me.”

Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Home Free's Austin Brown Sings 'Georgia On My Mind'

Home Free’s Austin Brown performs a stunning rendition of the classic song ‘Georgia On My Mind.’

Originally recorded by Hoagy Carmichael in 1930, Stuart Gorell wrote the lyrics while Hoagy wrote the music.

Decades later, the song still remains one of the most popular of all time.

“Georgia, Georgia
The whole day through (the whole day through)
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind (Georgia on my mind)”

Today, Austin Brown is putting his own spin on this iconic tune.

You may recognize Austin as a member of the a cappella group Home Free. We met this musical group when they competed in and won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013. Other members include Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance and they’ve become viral sensations with their covers of hit songs such as ‘Ring Of Fire’ and ‘How Great Thou Art.’

2020 was an interesting year for people all across the globe. And while the pandemic forced Home Free to stop their tour, it allowed Austin time to discover himself as a solo artist. Fast forward two years, and Austin has been blessing us with incredible covers and stunning original numbers.

Today, this Georgia boy is paying homage to his roots with an incredible performance of ‘Georgia On My Mind.’

“I said just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind”

What an amazing song set against a beautiful backdrop. As Austin tours the globe I’m sure he misses his home in Georgia more and more.

4 Men Of Anthem Lights Sing “Freedom's Worth The Fight”

Enjoy this 3-minute encouragement from the 4 men of Anthem Lights as they sing their original song, “Freedom’s Worth the Fight.”

Released July 1, 2022, and written and performed by, from left to right, Spencer Kane, Joseph Stamper, Caleb Grimm, and Chad Graham, this song restores “local” listeners’ famously American sense of pride—causing us to throw back our weary shoulders and raise our lowered chins!

Standing in dry creek bottom and literally surrounded by God’s beautiful creation, Anthem Lights sends out a reminder that even though conflict and discord seem lately to be too often the norm, we are still “fighting for each other” and “standing side by side.”

Here are a few lines from the song’s chorus:

That we've got 50 different reasons
To hold our head up high
We might be torn to 13 pieces
We still gotta fly

Spencer, the newest and youngest of the four current band members, opens the song with Joey providing guitar accompaniment. A tribute to the resilience and determination of the U.S.A. and her people, the lyrics offer hope. And, the voices of Anthem Lights render their sweet sentiment in honey-like harmonies!

“50 reasons” is most certainly a shout-out to our 50 fabulous states, and “13 pieces” a reference to our 13 original colonies. But given the fact that Anthem Lights is a rock, pop, Christian, and gospel group, it may be that the freedom they sing about isn’t from a purely patriotic point of view.

These talented and believing vocalists say that “liberty’s got enemies.” Just maybe, in addition to freedom for and within our country, they are singing about freedom in Christ.

Anthem Lights was founded in 2007. The members have individual and group projects, including a PureFlix animated series that began in January 2022. You can learn more about the show and their live performances at their website. While their song is uplifting, so is the fact that there seem to be more media outlets and avenues for their fans to experience the positive work they are doing!

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,” Luke 4:18

Have I Done My Best For Jesus.

I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good. Psalms 54:6 .
My beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58.

Listen to this chilling and wonderful rendition of ‘Hallelujah’ performed by three men of Celtic Thunder.

“Now I've heard there was a secret chord that David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you? It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor falls, the major lifts, the baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah”

Leonard Cohen’s iconic song ‘Hallelujah’ continues to inspire musical artists and listeners alike with its simple, haunting lyrics. And every musician that covers the song lends their own unique voice and take on the classic.

This performance by Celtic Thunder of ‘Hallelujah’ blends the eclectic with the cultural for resonance. The setting and the choreography add up to an epic rendition of the song.

Feel the presence of the Lord as this father-daughter duo performs this beloved tune ‘I Can Only Imagine’ with special guest Nathan Pacheco.

‘I Can Only Imagine' is the best-selling Christian song of all time. This MercyMe hit was originally released in 1999. Written by lead singer Bart Millard, it continues to be a staple in church services today. There’s no doubt that this song has truly stood the test of time and it even inspired a film of the same name. The iconic lyrics ponder what Heaven will truly be like.

Now, Mat and Savanna have a growing YouTube channel and an album full of our favorite covers.

Today, they’re teaming up with fellow artist Nathan Pacheco for an incredible performance of ‘I Can Only Imagine.’

'For God Is With Us' For King And Country With Hillary Scott

Lady A’s Hillary Scott joins For King And Country for an unforgettable rendition of the number one song, ‘For God Is With Us.’

Can you see the skies begin to break?
When Heaven and Earth were face-to-face
Oh, how the world forever changed”

Brothers Luke and Joel Smallbone make up the Christian duo For King And Country. They are known for songs such as ‘God Only Knows’ and ‘Priceless.’

Today, they are teaming up with powerhouse vocalist Hillary Scott for a stunning rendition of ‘For God Is With Us.’

All in a moment, All in an instant
The body was broken
And it was finished”

Hillary spoke to CMT about adding her vocals to the song. “I’m truly humbled that FOR KING + COUNTRY asked to add my vocal on such a powerful song. Personally, it was a treat for me to collaborate with them, and now I’m excited to share it.”

Joel Smallbone had nothing but praise for the country singer. “I’m so proud of her, and I’m so proud of it. I say this politely to our own version, but it’s the superior version to me. It takes the song to another place it wasn’t at before.”

'Low Down The Chariot' Classic Performance From Gaither Vocal Band

Check out this classic performance from the Gaither Vocal Band of the song ‘Low Down the Chariot.’

“Low down the chariot let me ride, low down the chariot let me ride…
Ride on (ride on King Jesus), ride on (ride on King Jesus), the conquering King
I wanna go to heaven in the morning, I've been trying so hard just to make it on through
You know I tried to live the way You want me to, I wanna say goodbye to all sin inside
I don't wanna miss that great glory ride, so when You break on through that golden sky
Please slow it down, don't pass me by, swing that chariot way down low
I wanna go like Elijah when I'll go”

What amazing vocals! And they all sound so wonderful when they blend all the parts together. From the bass to the tenor and all the parts in between, the Gaither Vocal Band really knows how to produce a well-rounded sound!

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
