'You Don't Love God If You Don't Love Your Neighbor' From The Cotton Pickin' Kids

This is another precious performance from a family band. Check out, “You Don’t Love God if You Don’t Love Your Neighbor” from The Cotton Pickin’ Kids.

At the start of this fun-loving video, a sweet girl playing stunning violin leads with her brothers and sisters around her. Each child has his or her own unique instrument. Each one is skilled and looks like they are having a great time on this adorable porch.

The girl beings to sing a powerful verse:

“There are many people who will say their Christians
And they live like Christians on the Sabbath day
But come Monday morning til the coming Sunday
They will fight their neighbor all along the way.”

The lyrics are powerful, convicting, and a little humorous. Suddenly the older brother jumps in with incredible vocals as the girls sing harmonies. He does a mandolin solo and it is a great highlight. This family is a team. They clearly work hard together and give each other opportunities to shine. The way that they love one another is evident that they believe the words that they are singing. They have great musical abilities and creativity, they go into “When the Saint Go Marching In” for a moment.

The message of this song is inspiring and a wonderful reminder to all of us. We are called to love God and love others. We need to make sure that we are living by the Holy Spirit’s power, not our own. It is very easy to neglect others and be so caught up in our own selfishness, but Christ helps us to be selfless. May we live out each day what Jesus has taught us, not just practice a religion, but live in relationship with God and with others.

“Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39

'Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me' Travis Cottrell Featuring Daughter Lily Cottrell

Listen to this beautiful song by Travis Cottrell and featuring his daughter, Lily Cottrell, called ‘Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me.'

“What gift of grace is Jesus, my redeemer, there is no more for heaven now to give
He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom, my steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus, for my life is wholly bound to His
Oh, how strange and divine, I can sing, "All is mine," yet not I, but through Christ in me”

In the music video, Travis Cottrell is singing ‘Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me' next to his daughter in a church with a choir and congregation joining him in song. What a beautiful sight to see that room full of people worshiping together!

When it comes to his music, Travis Cottrell embraces the rich traditional hymns of his childhood, along with the modern music of today, to use a blended style of worship to help lead people from all generations and backgrounds into worship. And he does that so wonderfully with this song!

‘Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me' is an incredible worship song written by Jonny Robinson, Michael Farren, Rich Thompson. And it is part of Integrity Music’s newest project titled REVERE, which is a collection of songs with various worship leaders and songwriters. They share, "This is not only a collection of incredible worship songs, but a journey through worship itself. We follow worship as it takes us from intimacy, to intensity, back to the fear of the Lord. It takes us to a place where we fall down on our knees and cry out 'Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty.' In this season of uncertainty and unrest, we can trust in a God who is consistent over and over again. He is here and we are surrendering to His glory!"

We hope you enjoyed listening to ‘Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me' today!

'Break Free' Official Music Video From David Phelps

Check out the official music video from David Phelps for his song ‘Break Free.’

“Forget what you've heard about Jesus, if it doesn't begin and end with love
Did you know that you are the reason, He decided that He had to come?
He doesn't care about what's in your past, so whatever it is that's holding you back
Break free, break free, loose the chains that have held you tight
Break free, break free, cleanse all your shame in love's healing tide
Of mercy, sweet mercy, break free”

What a wonderful song! This music video was filmed at the Alabama Theatre, and the video excerpt was taken from the live concert filming of No More Night: David Phelps Live! in Birmingham.

David Phelps grew up in Tomball, Texas singing in church with his family. He was able to grow his love of music through the years by performing as a solo artist at churches and conventions. During his music career, he had the opportunity to join the Gaither Vocal Band, and this group brought him four Dove Awards, two Grammy Awards, and over 13 gold and 15 platinum-selling projects.

David then followed his dream of releasing a solo album that expressed his own style. That dream came to fruition with his album titled Revelation, which the song ‘Break Free’ is part of.

The styles on the album Revelation range from pop/rock to R&B to Latin, and it spans the gamut of David Phelps’ early influences. “I was raised in a very eclectic household, listening to a lot of different musical styles; and I learned to appreciate them all. I grew up when contemporary Christian music was coming into its own. I listened to Sandi Patty, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant and the Gaither Vocal Band (with Michael English). I also listened to rock bands like Journey and REO Speedwagon. My exposure to those varying styles has affected who I am and the music I enjoy performing.”

When talking about his solo album, David shares: “We know no truth outside the universe and eternity other than what God makes known, and that encompasses this entire project. Each song on Revelation tells of something God has revealed to me.” But, according to Phelps, it’s the first line in the song “Break Free” that really sums up the project as a whole and the message he hopes to convey: “Forget what you’ve heard about Jesus if it doesn’t begin and end with love.”

What a touching rendition of this classic hymn. The father and daughter perfroming in the video are part of the Asidor family. They are a family of Christian singers who share God’s love with others through their gospel songs online.

But I bring you good news! In the great, big hands of Jesus, all things are possible!
With the mighty hands of the master, He’s making miracles. Don’t be afraid, reach out in faith,
All you are needing and more is in the great, big, marvelous, capable hands of the Lord!”

What a great performance by this talented family who loves the Lord! This music video was filmed at Liberty University's Center For Music And Worship Arts in Lynchburg, VA in 2021. Wipes the tears from my face and says, "Come as you are"?”

On Instagram, Matthew shared that he has known Anne for some time. “We’ve been writing music together for quite a while now, but never actually got the chance to release one of our songs together out into the world, until now.”

I’m so glad that these two artists are using their God-given talents to praise His Holy Name. Who else is hoping for another duet?

Michael Buble Sings “Bring It On Home To Me” With Gospel Choir

Get ready for one rousing and wonderful performance as Michael Buble sings “Bring It On Home To Me” with a London gospel choir! Bring on the Buble, and bring on the chills!

London’s West End Gospel’s choirmaster, Nathaniel Morrison, and the film crew planned quite a treat for the group’s singers and their special guest, Michael Buble. The video’s subtitles bring viewers up to speed.

Nathaniel had made secret arrangements for Mr. Buble to visit the group on Day 1 of his promotional tour for his new album titled Higher. Meanwhile, the choir had been practicing Michael’s new song, thinking they were merely making clips for his social media campaign. Watch what happens as the gospel group and the Canadian crooner both get big, delightful surprises!

Before entering, Michael Buble listens excitedly to the singing coming from inside the practice space. He shares that he loves gospel, and he “loves human beings coming together and singing.” He enters as the choir sings “Jesus, What a Wonder You Are,” which very quickly turns to laughter, clapping, and screams from the dozen choir members!

The group is all smiles, and so is Michael. He seems super humble and pleased to be in their company—and the fun part for him hasn’t even started!

Choirmaster Nathaniel tells Michael that the choir is going to sing something that he might know, and he invites Michael to join in as the spirit directs. It takes only the utterance of the word “if” for Michael to recognize the song. Nathaniel, who clearly has awesome chops of his own, sings through the first verse while Michael joyfully watches with watery eyes and a touched soul!

The song, first made famous by the legendary soul singer Sam Cooke in 1962, tells the story of a man who is desperate for his love to return home. Michael Buble adds his cover to a list of other greats who have recorded the classic love song, including Rod Steward, John Lennon, Mickey Gilley, and others.

As the second verse begins, Michael begins singing, and Nathaniel adds background vocals. At first, one, then two, and then the twelve members of the choir add in all the good stuff that they’ve been working on, completely without knowing they’d actually get to perform it with Michael Buble up close and in person! What a thrill!

And, look out now! These musicians are having so much fun doing their thing! And, their thing is outstanding, guaranteed to give listeners goosebumps!

After a big finish, Mr. Buble gives hugs to each of the choir members and to Nathaniel. He is obviously moved by the moment, saying, “When I recorded this song, it was the greatest thing I recorded in my life. I’ve been driving people crazy. I kept saying ... ‘How am I ever going to make a moment of this and let people see it, how beautiful this is?’ And this is the moment. You guys gave me the moment.”

Thanks for sharing the moment with all of us, West End Gospel, Nathaniel Morris, and Michael Buble!

“For long ago, in the days of David and Asaph, there had been directors for the musicians and for the songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.” Nehemiah 12:46

Walker Hayes And MercyMe Perform 'Craig' On The Today Show

This is such an encouraging video of a live performance. Walker Hayes and MercyMe perform “Craig” on the Today Show.

At the start of this video, country singer Walker Hayes is on the stage in downtown Manhattan rocking the stage with his band. He starts to rap and sing about how he was drinking beer and acting a certain way, but that a man welcomed him as he was and then encouraged him to live a different life.

As he sings the song, Bart Millard from MercyMe enters the stage and sings along with him for the chorus. The two have a lot of fun.

Walker continues telling his story about being a husband and father of six kids. He shares how he needed a bigger car to buckle all the children but couldn’t afford one, and Craig showed up with his wife one day at the kids' baseball game with a car for his family.

Part of the chorus sings:
Now he's not the light of the world
But I wish that mine was bright as his
Yeah he just might be tight with a man that is

Walker ends the song that a cop pulled up next to them at a light and his kids did not have to duck because they were all buckled up. This is such a powerful song about the impact of believers on others.

We can recognize and love those around us like Jesus, not for the glory of our names, but for the glory of Jesus’ name. The Lord is inviting us into His kingdom work, and we have the ability to be “Craig” to someone else.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Singer-songwriter Cody Carnes felt a call to worship music from a very young age. In fact, he was just a teenager when he led his first worship service. Since that time, Cody has continued to write music and perform in various bands.

Worship music even led him to meet fellow Christian artist Kari Jobe. The two went on to marry in 2014. Cody even helped write Kari’s hit song ‘Let The Heavens Open.’

God is good, indeed!
