I Surrender’ Tasha Cobbs Leonard Live Performance

Listen to Tasha Cobbs Leonard perform “I Surrender”.

One talented musician sang about taking a massive step in her walk and relationship with God.

Faith is a big component of following the Lord and adhering to His words and teachings, which are littered throughout the Bible. Faith requires listening to God’s calling and acting, stepping out in obedience, even when the road ahead is unclear.

Many central figures mentioned in God’s Word were called at crucial times in their life to trust and obey God. However, to fully live by and trust in God’s will and desire for their life, they had to give up everything. Essentially, they had to surrender all their fears and rely upon God to see them through when situations seemed murky.

In the song “I surrender” by Tasha Cobbs Leonard, the talented vocalist sings about this kind of faith.

The opening lyrics to the song make it abundantly clear that taking this massive leap of faith is not easy. Many are obviously and understandably apprehensive about doing so. People often hold onto things that can keep them from making such a move, including financial or employment worries or even past hurts or heartaches.

However, the second verse states the singer temporarily forgot that God is bigger than all her problems or fears. She sings she knows that if she places her trust and has faith in Him, He will work it out for her good.

The song’s simple yet effective chorus states that despite everything, all her fears and worries, she is giving God all control of her life. She is surrendering it all, she sings.

The third verse adds that in giving up and surrendering her all to God, she has gained something much more valuable. She has found “freedom in letting go.”

Surrendering to God’s will for our life is often easier said than done. It requires a ton of faith to hand over everything to Him, to surrender it all. But He has a plan. He will work it out, as the song mentions.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.”

‘I’m Not Going Anywhere’ Housefires Worship Performance

Listen to “I’m Not Going Anywhere” performed by Housefires.

Life’s many trials, troubles and hardships can cause questions and doubts to arise and may even push some to question their faith. Following Christ and adhering to His message requires commitment and faith, which one song points out.

In the song “I’m Not Going Anywhere” by the Housefires, the musicians sing about sticking with the Lord, not straying from Him or His love. The singers state they have “found a home in You” and Christ is their “refuge” from the storm.

The lyrics add that with Christ, they are “safe and sound” and that the musicians are “not going anywhere.” Similarly, later in the song, the lyrics add that God will never leave us. The lyrics mention “You’re not going anywhere” and “this love is forever, Lord.”

Everyone will inevitably face distressing issues, problems and horrible situations that will scare and may even scar us, but Christ is our refuge in the time of those storms.

God’s Word states that His protection is upon those who call in His name during their time of need. Nahum 1:7 reads, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows them that trust in him.”

Like anything else in life, commitment is a necessary component of any successful endeavor. It’s a decision stating that regardless of whatever may happen in the future, this is where I’ll be, no matter what.

Commitment also requires a fair amount of faith. No one can tell the future. As such, a decision to stick with Christ, His love and safety, even in times of trouble and uncertainty, requires faith on our part.

This song by the Housefires is a reminder of the commitment and faith needed in order to remain with Christ throughout life’s many trials and tribulations.

Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.”

Women Who Worship - Thank You Jesus For The Blood

Listen to “Thank You Jesus For The Blood” performed by Women Who Worship.

Romans 3:23 reads that “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” but, thankfully, Jesus Christ, because of His love and sacrifice, created a way for us to be redeemed and brought back to Him.

Christ paid the ultimate price, dying upon the cross for the sins of all humanity. Jesus Christ offered himself as a perfect sacrifice and paid back out debt. The blood He shed on that cross all those years ago covers a multitude of sins and shame.

The song “Thank You Jesus For The Blood” by Women Who Worship is about the blood Christ willingly spilled for everyone. The song mentions how, even in our lost state, covered in sin and shame, Christ loved us enough to go through a horrible and undeserving death.

The lyrics to the song’s first verse point out that even in our shameful and completely lost state, even when sin separated us from Christ, He still had us on his mind. He was the only one who could have ever made a way to bring us back and He did just that!

The song mentions that Christ’s death and blood brought freedom from sin and shame. His death upon the cross “freed my soul” and provided hope for the very first time, the song adds.

The song’s chorus is one of praise, thanking Christ for making that ultimate sacrifice.

“Thank You Jesus for the blood applied
Thank you, Jesus, you have washed me white
Thank you, Jesus, you have saved my life”

Christ’s blood has given us victory over death once and for all. As John 3:16 reads, “whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Praise God! Because of His great love, mercy and grace, He did what we could not do for ourselves.

1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleans us from all sin.”

‘All My Hallelujahs’ Women Who Worship Live Performance

Listen to “All My Hallelujahs” performed by Women Who Worship.

As a song states, the Lord is more than worthy of all our praise and worship.

Christ, because of His deep love, grace and mercy, took the sin and shame of humanity upon himself and died a horrible and wholly undeserving death on the cross. This act of love gave us a chance at everlasting life with Him, as he won the victory over hell and death.

In the song “All My Hallelujahs” by Women Who Worship, they praise the Lord for all that He has done in their lives and everything He continues to do for them.

In the song’s first verse, the ladies sing that because of Christ, there is absolutely nothing to fear. His hand of protection is over them and keeps them safe. Christ does not leave them alone. He remains with them through every circumstance and situation of life.

All their hope, the lyrics state, is in Christ Jesus. He has searched them, and He knows their hearts.

The song’s chorus mentions that because of their faith in Christ, and His love and protection, they will continue to praise Him. Even when they may not receive answers to their requests, they will still praise Him.

“May You hear me singing
When answers never come
You have all my hallelujahs
Every single one”

Later, a verse expounds on the strength and protection of the Lord. He has been a shelter throughout the many storms and troubles of life. He always provides help and assistance during periods of trial. He has never failed and there is no reason to believe He ever will. Christ “will always be my strength.”

Revelation 19:6 “And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunders, saying ‘Hallelujah: for the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigneth.’”

‘Just To Be With You’ We Are Messengers Official Music Video

Home really is where the heart lives. At one time or another, everyone longs for the place and the people around whom they feel most comfortable. Homesickness is a real thing.

The song “Just To Be With You” by We Are Messengers is about someone experiencing homesickness. They wish they were at home with their family and would go to great lengths to be with them.

The video begins with the musician walking the streets of a wet and dreary city alone. It’s clear from the first few images of the singer that he is lonely, and longs for someplace else entirely.

The first verse quickly reinforces the images we see in the video's opening moments. The lyrics detail the singer's painful and agonizing loneliness. He is in an unfamiliar location surrounded by people he does not know. The lyrics state he wants to go home.

“I’m not sure if it’s real
But I know I don’t belong
All I wanted was a home”

A few seconds later, the singer wakes up alone in a hotel room. He is once again all alone, and his sadness and loneliness have not subsided. Instead, text on the screen indicates that it has only increased.

Next, we see why he longs for home and is willing to “cross the world, just to be with you.” He scrolls through pictures on a tablet of himself with his family. He wants to be with his loved ones. He’s tired of the lonely life he leads.

Finally, the musician packs his belongings and exits the hotel room. The next images are of him opening the door to his vehicle as he places his items in the van. He is, the text in the video reads, headed home.

Thankfully, no matter what we may be experiencing or how we’re feeling, we can call upon the Lord. He will be our comforter in times of worry and distress.

Isaiah 66:13 “As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.”

“How great this love, oh it's moving all my mountains
This perfect love it's casting out my fear. How great this love
Oh, it welcomes me like family, and anywhere I go, it meets me there, He is good”

What an incredible song! It reminds us all of how good God is and how amazing His love is that He pours out on us. Even in our darkest moments and during our failures, he is right there with us, surrounding us with His love and kindness.

'God Is In This Story' Katy Nichole Acoustic Performance

You have to check out this wonderful acoustic performance of the song called ‘God Is In This Story’ by Katy Nichole. The message is encouraging, and the song is full of hope.

There’s torn up pages in this book, words that tell me I’m no good
Chapters that defined me for so long, but the hands of grace and endless love
Dusted off and picked me up, told my heart that hope is never gone
God is in this story, God is in the details, even in the broken parts

What a great reminder to us all that God is present with us in every season of our lives. He is there on the mountaintop and in the valleys. He is in every detail.

“The one thing that we all have in common is that we all have a story to tell,” shares Katy Nichole. “Looking back on my life, I always thought, ‘Oh, my story is too broken, and no one is going to want to hear about that.’ But what I didn’t know is that people were actually seeing Jesus through my story, because God was turning the broken things into beautiful things. So if you think that your story is too broken, I promise you that it’s not because God is in it.”

In the music video for ‘God Is In This Story,’ Katy Nichole is singing in a living room with a person playing the cello and another person playing the keyboard, along with four background vocalists. The whole group sounds amazing, and it is so wonderful to hear them perform such a powerful song.
